(Yukon Rescue: Season 1: Ice Jam) Dobrodružný As calls for help roll in, brave and resourceful first responders must overcome a slew of threats — from avalanches and wildfires to flash floods and ferocious predators. In historic Dawson City, the volunteer-run fire department is the only line of defense for the tight-knit community. Along the Klondike Highway, a helicopter crew armed with explosives races to keep up with avalanches endangering critical access to ports in Alaska, while First Nations Land Guardians keep a watchful eye on the vital balance between species and the environment in their communities. Battling vast distances, scarce supplies, extreme temperatures and an unforgiving landscape, Yukon Rescue’s first responders put it all on the line to get the job done. The Dawson City Fire Department races to protect the town from devastating flash floods. In Watson Lake, while responding to emergency calls about a rogue bison herd threatening local communities and damaging vehicles, a conservation officer suspects a lone individual deep in the woods of engaging in illegal activity. Near Whitehorse, officers set up a covert sting operation to catch a serial poacher. Meanwhile, Land Guardians from the Kwanlin Dun First Nation launch an urgent investigation into illegal logging and dumping that is threatening to devastate the landscape and wildlife, while Ray and Doug attempt to help a hunter whose vehicle has broken down in the wilderness.
