(Monsters: Truth Behind the Myths: Season 1: Demons) Historie a záhady From vampires and werewolves to demons and Frankenstein, Monsters: The Truth Behind the Myths unpacks the origin story of our most legendary monsters —and tracks their staying power across the centuries. Its a historical journey to the mindsets that made them and how folklore and superstition has intersected with science and popular culture right up until today. The notion of demons have been with humankind for centuries. They stretch back to the ancient world and the early church, but its in 1600s France that a convent experiences one of the most extraordinary cases of mass possession. In the Victorian era two sisters become famous for channeling spirits. In the twentieth century exorcism becomes a blockbuster film and the Satanic Panic fuels widespread conspiracies. MN 16 (Canada)
