(World War II: Secrets From Above: Season 4: Finlands Winter War) Historie Revealing the most extraordinary stories of WWII from an aerial perspective, this series reconstructs Hitlers Blitzkrieg invasion of western Europe, the Winter War in the forests of Finland, the battle in the skies between the Luftwaffe and the Royal Air Force, the race to sink Hitlers battleship Tirpitz, the terror of the Blitz on Liverpool, and the surprise Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. November 1939, Finland: almost half a million soldiers of the Soviet Red Army are poised along the border, ready to invade. Vastly outgunned and outnumbered, the Finnish defenders must improvise, and use the dense forests and frozen lakes of their homeland to their advantage, in an extraordinary war of David vs Goliath.
