Maverick expert mechanics Ralph and Ranen have set up an experimental workshop. Each episode ends with a showcase reveal, a road test, and the ultimate question: will the perfectionist Afzal like the finished car enough to put it into his own showroom? In this episode of Supercar Megabuild, designer and motor industry mogul, Afzal Kahn has an idea for a prototype based on a vehicle hes very familiar with: the Range Rover Evoque. But that is where the familiar territory for the designer ends. His plan is to turn this urban crossover vehicle into the ultimate sand dune conquering off-roader - a vehicle inspired by the Paris-Dakar Rally 4x4s. Its a journey that will see expert engineers Ralph and Ranen test the vehicle in the most extreme environment imaginable, fabricate and fit a totally unique suspension kit to raise the vehicles ground clearance, install powerful roof mounted lighting and put the Evoque through an aggressive Dakar rally inspired styling programme. Only if the prototype is shown to be a capable off-roader in the sand dunes of the Sahara, will Mr Kahn decide whether to offer it to his most adventurous clients… MN 12 (United Kingdom)
