Fuzz Townshend and Tim Shaw continue their mission to seek out classic cars with deserving owners. In this series, the boys take on their most complicated restorations ever. Chronic rust, hard to find parts and broken engines is all grist to the Car SOS mill plus enough human-interest stories to moisten the eye of the toughest car lover. Tim and Fuzz are off to Rochdale to rescue a Opel Manta GTE, a rare German Classic straight out of the 1980s. The car belongs to former amateur rally driver Alan, who loved his Manta so much he couldn’t bear to part with it, even when it went off the road. Suffering with ill health over the years and recently loosing his wife lead to Alan becoming bit of a recluse. His family and friends hope the Car SOS treatment could be just the thing to bring Alan out of his shell. MN 12 (United Kingdom)
