(Lost Ships of WW2: Season 1: Uss Hornet: America Strikes Back) Historie Rob Kraft and his team aboard the research vessel Petrel are in search of the most iconic ships of WW2. Using some of the worlds most high-tech camera equipment, their spectacular discoveries can now be seen for the first time in almost 80 years. The Petrel team searches for the American aircraft carrier USS Hornet. The Doolittle Raid was launched off her deck to avenge Pearl Harbor. But six months later, the ship’s life was cut short when the Hornet sailed into a hornet’s nest of Japanese ships. MN 12 (Australia)
