(Ice Road Rescue: Season 11: No Alternative Route) Dobrodružství An epic season puts the ice road rescuers to the test, forcing them to break new ground in the battle to keep Norways roads open. From the southern mountains to the northern wilderness, winter becomes increasingly unpredictable. Snowstorms are followed by sudden shifts in temperature, bringing landslides, rockfalls and life-threatening winds. For rescue bosses Thord, Bjoern and Jo Roger, these are challenging times as they confront unprecedented natural disasters and ever-increasing demand. But they are not facing these challenges alone. The crews have welcomed a new breed of young rescuers. Collaboration with neighbouring companies has expanded their ability to succeed in the biggest missions - and their willingness to embrace new ideas and new technologies has proved more important than ever. In Overhalla, Jo Rogers under pressure when a crashed truck blocks the main road north-south. With no alternative routes, the crash cuts Norway in two. In the south, a truck parked up for the night starts sliding on sheet ice. During the rescue, Thord discovers that the accident could have been much worse, because the truck was close to careering down a steep bank when the driver was asleep. Thords young recruit Gabriel also gets a shock during his first solo mission. Called out to rescue a car thats slammed into a cliff face, he realises that the car is a write-off - but is then surprised to find the four occupants in party mood. MN 12 (Norway)
